53 MeV RACE TRACK MICROTRON
The first electron accelerator of major size from Danfysik, a Race Track Microtron, has been delivered and installed at customer's site. The Danfysik Race Track Microtron is a high efficiency electron accelerator featuring:
- High Compactness
- Low energy spread
- Low energy spread
- Low beam emittance
- Ease in operation
The Race Track Microtron consists of an electron gun, which injects into a 70 keV linac.
The energy gain per passage of the linac is 5.3 MeV which means that the beam will pass 10 times before it is extracted at the full energy, 53 MeV by means of a septum magnet.
