Danfysik sells its X-ray beamlines business

In future Danfysik will focus on accelerators and healthcare products.

With effect from October 8, 2007 Danfysik has sold its X-ray beamlines business in Oxford Danfysik to FMB GmbH. This is a result of refocusing the business of Danfysik on particle accelerators and current transducer products.

Bjarne Roger Nielsen, CEO of Danfysik A/S said: “The offer for our beamlines business came at a time when we were refocusing and strengthening our efforts into particle accelerators for Healthcare, Industrial and our Research  customers, including the synchrotron light source market. With this change in organisation, we will better attend and serve our existing and new customers within the particle accelerator and healthcare markets with our high quality accelerator systems, components and transducer products.”

The activities of Oxford Danfysik within particle beam diagnostics will continue under the ownership of Danfysik A/S and will trade under the new name of Danfysik UK Ltd.  while the company name of the X-ray business under its new ownership will be FMB Oxford Ltd.
