Since Danfysik A/S was founded in 1964, the company has built up a unique expertise in developing, designing and producing high-tech particle accelerator equipment used in research, in the medico industry and other industrial markets. Danfysik operates in the global market as one of the world’s leading suppliers of particle accelerator equipment.
With the development of particle accelerators used in cancer treatment and a cooperation agreement with Siemens Medical Solutions, Danfysik has gained access to a promising market with a great growth potential.
The effort to gear up Danfysik optimally for the future growth has already resulted in organisational changes, as the component business was separated as a stand-alone division Advanced Current Products in January 2008. Now Danfysik carries through its planned changes to the structure of the board as well as to the executive management team.
New chairman of the board is Søren Rathmann, former CEO of Silcon / APC Denmark and member of several boards, e.g. IRD A/S, Tpack A/S and Dansk Standard. Former chairman of the board, Kaj Taidal, stays on as a member of the board.
In the management team, Henrik Kaj Mortensen exchanges his title as COO for the appointment as CEO. As former director in several international groups, Henrik Kaj Mortensen has comprehensive experience in handling large industrial projects. Outgoing CEO Bjarne Roger Nielsen, who has a background as a physicist, changes focus and stays in the executive management team as CTO where he will be responsible for ensuring Danfysik’s continued technological development.
Danfysik has 180 employees and an annual turnover of approx. DKK 250 million.
